2023 Nissan Versa Safety Features

Friday, 17 February, 2023 The all-new 2023 Nissan Versa is the last of a dying breed of inexpensive and efficient vehicles that combines the convenience of a subcompact sedan with the edgy styling and technology of today's modern cars. Its sleek design and cutting-edge tech features make it an excellent vehicle for any budget-conscious buyer who wants an affordable and reliable ride. As a refresher for the new 2023 model year, Nissan has made some significant updates to the Versa’s exterior and features, adding even more value to the popular sedan. But what truly set the Versa apart are its innovative safety features that give drivers and passengers an extra layer of comfort and security. From the high-tech driver assistance systems to the reinforced body construction, Nissan has gone to great lengths to ensure the new Versa is one of the safest vehicles on the road. Let's take a closer look at some of the standout driver assistance safety features included in the 2023 Nissan Versa. We’ll explore the features in detail and find out why they make the Versa one of the safest cars on the market. Standout Safety Features Nissan has taken a comprehensive approach to safety when designing the 2023 Versa. Nissan Intelligent Mobility and Safety Shield 360 are standard on every Versa SV and above to provide a comprehensive suite of safety features. Nissan Intelligent Mobility includes available features that can help monitor activity in front of, behind, and on either side of the Versa to keep you aware of your surroundings. Meanwhile, the Safety Shield 360 suite provides driver assistance and convenience features to help keep you out of harm's way. From lane-departure warning to blind-spot warning, these technologies are designed to give drivers an extra layer of protection on the road. Here are the key safety features included in the 2023 Nissan Versa: Automatic Emergency Braking With Pedestrian Detection This advanced system helps detect pedestrians and other objects on the road, alerting drivers if they are too close. If a collision is imminent, the system automatically applies the brakes to help avoid a crash. It can also help reduce the severity of impact if a collision is unavoidable. And because the system works at a range of speeds, it's not just a low-speed crash prevention feature — it can help prevent a collision even if, for example, a pedestrian is on a crosswalk and you are traveling toward them at high speed. Lane Departure Warning The lane departure warning system helps alert drivers if they drift out of their lane without signaling. This system can detect white and yellow lines on the road and warns the driver if they stray from their lane. This is especially helpful on long drives, as it can help keep drivers alert by providing gentle reminders to stay in the right lane. In addition, this system helps reduce the risk of a collision by alerting drivers when they are too close to the edge of their lane. Blind-Spot Warning This system keeps a vigilant eye on your vehicle's blind spots, alerting you to vehicles or obstacles. It can detect objects on either side of your Versa, so you'll be safer when switching lanes. This feature is beneficial on crowded highways and city streets with lots of traffic, as it can help you more safely navigate other vehicles. Moreover, the system can detect objects at various speeds, making it an invaluable tool for navigating any driving situation. Rear Automatic Braking This feature uses multiple sensors to monitor the vehicle's surroundings to help detect and avoid rear collisions. If the sensors detect a rear collision and you fail to stop in time, the system automatically applies the brakes to help avoid a rear collision or lessen the severity of the impact. This comes in handy in tight parking spaces or when backing out of a driveway and can help reduce the risk of an accident in situations where you may not react quickly enough. Rear Cross-Traffic Alert The rear cross-traffic alert system helps detect and avoid potential rear collisions when your Versa is backing up. This feature uses radar sensors to detect traffic from the left and right sides of the vehicle. If it detects a car, bike, or person on either side of the car, it triggers an audible and visual alert. This alerts drivers to sources of potential danger so they can take the necessary precautions. High Beam Assist The high beam assist feature allows drivers to control their high beams without manually switching back and forth between low and high beam lights. The system uses a combination of cameras, sensors, and radar to detect other vehicles on the road. If it detects another vehicle, it automatically switches to low beams to avoid blinding other drivers. This helps make driving in the dark a safer experience for everyone on the road. Intelligent Cruise Control The intelligent cruise control feature helps take the tedium out of your commute by automatically maintaining a safe distance from the car in front of you. The system uses radar to detect the speed and relative position of vehicles ahead and adjusts your speed accordingly. It's smart enough to automatically slow down when the car in front of you does and accelerate again when the coast is clear. You can set your desired speed, and the intelligent cruise control will keep you at that speed, allowing for a more comfortable drive. Intelligent Driver Alertness The intelligent driver alertness system monitors drivers' responses and steering patterns, alerting them when it detects signs of fatigue or drowsiness. When the system notices a driver is becoming less attentive, it issues warning signals, such as beeping and flashing lights. This helps reduce the likelihood of an accident due to inattention or exhaustion. The above features combine to make the 2023 Nissan Versa a safe and reliable vehicle. Whether you're driving on the highway or backing out of a tight parking space, the Versa's state-of-the-art safety technologies will help keep you and your passengers safe. And with a five-star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Versa is an excellent choice for any driver. 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 Towing Capacity and Performance

Friday, 20 January, 2023 The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 is a powerful and capable pickup truck with impressive towing capabilities. It’s one of the most popular vehicles in GMC's lineup, and with good reason. We'll cover its features, options, and capacity statistics below. Towing Capacity and Other Core Statistics The 2023 GMC Sierra 1500's towing capacity varies based on the engine and transmission setup the owner chooses. Four options are available. The first option is a 2.7-liter turbo four-cylinder granting 310 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine allows the 2023 Sierra 1500 to tow up to 9,400 pounds. The second option is a 5.3-liter V-8 producing 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque tied to a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine allows the truck to tow 11,200 pounds. The third option is a 6.3-liter V-8 generating 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque hitched to a 10-speed automatic transmission. This setup allows the Sierra to tow up to 11,000 pounds. The final option is a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel six-cylinder, not a V-6, providing 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. That engine also comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission. With four-wheel drive, this engine helps the Sierra 1500 tow up to 8,900 pounds. The diesel Sierra 1500 equipped with the towing package can tow up to 13,000 pounds. That is the best-in-class towing rating for the 2023 model year. This spread of options means prospective owners of the 2023 Sierra 1500 can choose a version that can tow just what they need. This could save them a lot of money that would have otherwise been wasted on towing capacity they’d never use. Drivers with small boats, trailers, or campers favor the 2.7- and 5.3-liter options, while those with more to pull should consider the 5.3-, 6.3-, or 3.0-liter diesel. Exterior Style, Features, and Options The exterior style of the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 is very different from the average baseline pickup truck. The expanded wheel wells are among the most notable exterior features, designed to allow for easy maintenance access and larger tires. The grille is a large black barred version flanked by square headlights and inside-facing C-shaped daytime running lights. The headlight units extend along the side of the vehicle beyond the C-shaped daytime running lights, giving this Sierra 1500 a unique look. Its body lines are fairly deep and uniform, and the hood sets into the top front of the vehicle in a way that allows it to act like a double-slitted engine bay air intake. Exterior features include IntelliBeam automatic on and off high-beam headlights, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, 17-inch painted silver steel wheels, 17-inch Blackwall all-season tires, a locking tailgate, a CornerStep rear bumper step, LED signature tail lights, and solar-absorbing tinted glass. Exterior options include 22-inch versions of the wheels and tires, a GMC MultiPro tailgate with six functional access/load features, deeply tinted glass, LED fog lamps, a rear bumper with CornerSteps on each side, a rear window defogger, and chrome versions of the mirror caps and door handles. Other exterior options include an exterior LPO MultiPro audio system, a spray-in bed liner with the GMC logo set into it, four LPO wheel locks, perimeter lights, chrome window moldings, and an LED cargo area light. A signature Denali grille is available, as are auto-dimming puddle lamps and GMC MultiPro power steps. Interior Style, Features, and Options The interior style of the 2023 Sierra 1500 will make drivers think they've bought a luxury vehicle instead of a pickup, especially at the Denali trim level. Choose the brown leather upholstery option for the best available interior look. Its stitching gives it a very upscale look while granting the interior a very relaxed feel. The 7-inch Premium GMC infotainment system is set horizontally into the top center of the front console. There are air vents above it, so the infotainment system doesn't have the odd look many have as they stick up from the console in other vehicles. Interior features include a pair of charging and data USB ports, a urethane steering wheel, an exterior temperature display, a 12-volt DC power outlet, a rubberized vinyl floor covering, a tilt-wheel steering column with manual locking mechanism, lockable storage under the rear bench seat, single-zone air conditioning, a break wear indicator, and vinyl seat upholstery. Interior options include a pair of rear seat charge-only USB ports, a pair of charge and data USB ports set into the center console, a rearview mirror with rear camera display, a 120-volt AC power outlet, driver's seat position memory settings, carpeted flooring, remote vehicle start, and an in-vehicle trailering application. Comfortable 16-way power-adjustable seats with lumbar massage units are available alongside a 15-inch upgrade to the infotainment system, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated seats, a bed-mounted 120-volt AC power outlet, and adaptive cruise control. The Forge perforated leather upholstery is the brown leather option we mentioned at the opening of the section. A heated version of the leather steering wheel and a wireless charging unit are also available. A Fantastic Entertainment and Infotainment Setup Anyone who drives or rides in a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 regularly is in for a treat. Its spectacular set of entertainment features includes a standard two-speaker sound system, but that can be upgraded to a crystal-clear Bose Premium Series system with 12 speakers and a Richbass woofer. The standard GMC infotainment center comes with Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and standard radio programming. Entertainment options in this pickup include SiriusXM satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless versions of the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems, steering wheel set audio controls, and the larger version of the infotainment system. Standard SiriusXM satellite radio is upgradable to 360L SiriusXM satellite radio. This system includes GPS navigation programming, SiriusXM satellite radio smart device app access, OnDemand content access, voice tuning, Xtra channels, and Pandora stations. A fountain in a square in downtown Savannah, GA

Top Places to Take History Lovers in Savannah, GA

Friday, 13 January, 2023 The stunning coastal city that is Savannah, Georgia, is known for its elegantly preserved architecture, beautiful parks, and rich history. An interesting fact about this city is that it was a Christmas gift to Abraham Lincoln from Union General Sherman during the Civil War. When General Sherman was in charge, he burned Atlanta to the ground but was astounded by the breathtaking beauty of Savannah. So, he spared it and sent a telegram to President Lincoln, offering him the city. There are plenty more interesting facts like this one and stunning locations in this grand city. Our team at Vaden Automotive wants to help you plan your trip around the city, so we put together a list of four historical sites to visit in Savannah, Georgia. Savannah Historic District Savannah Historic District is home to many historical landmarks, including The Forsyth Park Fountain. The fountains were constructed in 1858 and reside at the north end of Forsyth Park. You may see similarly styled fountains around the globe, like in Paris and Peru. Enjoy the fountain's exquisite architecture with several benches surrounding it. In addition to the famous fountain, there are plenty of other sites that make this district a historical landmark, such as its distinctive grid plan and architecture from the 18th and 19th centuries. In 1733, General. James E. Oglethorpe, the founder of the Georgia British colony, created the original town layout, which is still part of the grid plan today. Additionally, most of the original squares are still there today and are enveloped by great time-period architecture, like Georgian, Greek Revival, and Gothic styles. In the Savannah Historic District, you can find many prominent locations, such as: The Spencer Woodbridge House from 1795. The Owens-Thomas House from 1818. The Gothic Revival Greene House from 1853. The Beaux-Arts style Edmund Molyneux Mansion from 1917. You can take a self-guided tour of the district, beginning at the restored Central of Georgia railroad station. Not only does this historic district have well-preserved buildings from significant periods, but it's also a meaningful area to the African American community, including Beach Institute, the first Black school from 1865, and the King-Tisdell Cottage from 1896, the home of a working-class African American family. Savannah Visitor Center's hours: Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Location: 301 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Savannah. First African Baptist Church In December 1773, with leadership from Reverend George Leile, the First African Baptist Church (FABC) played a critical role in the Underground Railroad. The church was officially established in 1773, making this landmark is older than the United States itself, which was established in 1776. Reverend Leile became ordained as the FABC's pastor in May 1775. Then, in December 1777, was recognized as an official place of worship. A few short years later, in 1782, Pastor Leile didn't want to risk re-enslavement, so he went with the British when they evacuated Savannah and then migrated to Jamaica. He was the first American missionary and the first Jamaican Baptist missionary. Today, some original church features remain, such as the light fixtures, the baptismal pool, and the pews in the balcony. As you walk through the church, you can still see holes in the floor where individuals using the Underground Railroad could breathe. The holes in the floor are in the shape of an African prayer, representing birth, life, death, and rebirth. You can purchase tour tickets online using the church's website. Tour hours: Sunday through Tuesday: Closed. Wednesday through Saturday: 1 p.m. Location: 23 Montgomery St., Savannah. Savannah History Museum Located in the former historic Central of Georgia railway's passenger station, you can find the Savannah History Museum. The city's history in the museum begins in 1733 and walks you through significant wars of the United States and the city, such as the American Revolution and the Civil War. Additionally, the museum takes you through Savannah's modern-day history, including substantial musical, cultural, and artistic contributions. This location is also where you can view the famous bench from the film, "Forrest Gump." After you're done looking at the museum and its many artifacts, go across the road to explore the Battlefield Memorial Park. This park is where soldiers fought the second bloodiest battle in the American Revolution. Here, at least 800 troops passed away or were wounded. Tickets are available online or in person at the museum. Hours: Daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Location: 303 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Savannah. The Old Sorrel Weed House Museum & Tours The Old Sorrel Weed House Museum & Tours is a historical monument named by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation as a must-see when you're in the area. Here, you can go on ghost tours in the evening and historical architecture tours. The architecture tour takes you through the Antebellum South, where you can look at exquisite Savannah homes, learn about the history of the buildings and city and see fine antiques from that period. During this tour, you see the main home, the Sorrel Weed House, known as one of the most haunted homes in Savannah. The original occupant, French Haitian merchant Francis Sorrel, had this home built by Charles Clusky in the 1830s. Clusky hosted notable guests like Robert E. Lee. If you choose to go on the ghost tours, you can spend an hour exploring rooms and hallways with a paranormal tour guide in one of the most actively haunted houses in the United States, the Carriage House. Purchase your tour tickets online using the museum's website. Hours: Daily from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Location: 6 W. Harris St., Savannah. We know there are several fascinating museums and historical sites in our culturally rich city, so we're barely scratching the surface with our four suggestions. What do you think of our list? Did we miss one of your favorite historical landmarks? Contact us, and tell us about it. Our team at Vaden Automotive values our customers' opinions, especially about intriguing historical sites to share with locals and travelers alike. Visit our dealership in Savannah, Georgia, and speak with our team of sales experts about your wants and needs in your next dream vehicle. Or, you can browse our inventory of new cars and used vehicles. No matter what you're searching for, we want to help you find it and get you the best deal. Safety Features Nissan knows how important safety is when selecting a new vehicle, so the 2022 Sentra offers many standard and available safety and driver-assistance features to help make that happen. Standard features include an advanced airbag system with dual-stage supplemental front airbags with seat-belt and occupant classification sensors. You also get seat-mounted side-impact supplemental airbags for front- and rear-seat outboard occupants, driver and front-passenger supplemental knee airbags, and a roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental airbag system with rollover sensor for front- and rear-seat outboard occupant head protection. The Sentra features three-point automatic locking retractor seat belts for passengers and an emergency locking retractor seat belt for the driver. The seat belts also have pretensioners and load limiters. You’ll find a LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) system to help secure your little one’s car seat or booster. The zone body construction with front and rear crumple zones and hood buckling creases and safety spots will help the Sentra absorb a collision better, providing you with better protection inside the vehicle. The pipe-style steel side-door guard beams and energy-absorbing steering column also help reduce injuries. Your 2022 Nissan Sentra will feature a tire pressure monitoring system with an individual tire pressure display and easy-fill tire alert to help you maintain the proper tire pressure. Low tire pressure can cause uneven wear of the tire tread, lessen your fuel efficiency, and reduce your braking power. Driver-Assistance Technologies Your 2022 Sentra will also feature various driver-assistance technologies to help prevent collisions. The following features are found on all three trims of the 2022 Nissan Sentra: Cruise control: Maintains a constant speed automatically. Intelligent forward collision warning: Alerts you of an impending collision and may apply the brakes in certain situations. Automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection: Detects pedestrians in front of the vehicle and applies the brakes automatically to prevent crashes. Lane departure warning: Warns you when the Sentra drifts out of its lane. Rear automatic braking: Automatically applies the brakes if an impending collision is detected in the vehicle’s rear. Rear cross-traffic alert: Warns you of vehicles behind yours to avoid a collision. Blind-spot warning: Warns you of a vehicle in your blind spot during lane changes. Rearview monitor: Allows you to see what’s behind your Sentra when in reverse. Rear sonar system: Alerts you to obstacles at the rear of your Sentra. Vehicle dynamic control with a traction-control system: Maintains proper traction when driving over various road or weather conditions. Intelligent engine brake: Assists you in reducing the Sentra to your desired speed. Active ride control: Prevents your Sentra from pitching when going over bumps by lightly applying the brakes. Intelligent trace control: Detects if your Sentra is departing from the intended path. Hill-start assist: Applies the brakes temporarily when starting an incline to keep you from rolling backward. High-beam assist: Automatically switches from bright to dim headlights when it detects a vehicle ahead. Intelligent driver alertness: Alerts you of detected driver drowsiness or reduced attention. Available features include intelligent cruise control that maintains a driver-set distance between your Sentra and the vehicle in front of you and an intelligent around-view monitor that provides a birds-eye view of your Sentra for tight parking situations. Upcoming 2023 Nissan Sentra Safety Features Nissan offers many features, such as rear automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and high-beam assist, as standard features for the 2022 Sentra. These features often cost more as options on other vehicles, or they aren’t available on the base-level trims. For that reason, we believe that Nissan will continue to offer plenty of safety and driver-assistance features on the Sentra, perhaps making all the driver-assistance technologies available on the S trim; after all, there are only two currently unavailable on that trim. See our Vaden Automotive team when you’re ready to take the 2022 Nissan Sentra for a test drive. Chevrolet Safety Assist Features

Monday, 12 December, 2022 Chevrolet is constantly working on updating the many tools and features of its safety suite to ensure the best experience for its customers. We pride ourselves on selling powerful, comfortable, and safe Chevys. We know our customers in Georgia and South Carolina want a vehicle that will get them where they need to go while keeping their families safe. To help you decide on what safety features you need in your new (or used) Chevrolet, we will go over the range of features available in the current Chevrolet safety suite. This way, you can see which ones work best for you, your needs, and your style of driving. Forward Collision Alert and Automatic Emergency Braking While it's best always to have your eyes on the road and keep a good distance from the car ahead of you, we're all human. Sometimes, we get distracted. Other times, a car might swerve into our lane before our brain has time to react. The forward collision alert and automatic emergency braking systems are meant to prevent an accident in just these cases. The forward collision alert system gauges your speed as well as the distance between you and the vehicle in front of you. It will warn you if you are driving too close to the vehicle ahead of you at too high a speed. If you follow its guidance, you will have enough time and distance to brake no matter what the vehicle in front of you does. The automatic emergency braking system kicks in when the system senses you are about to collide with an obstruction in front of you. It automatically applies a hard brake to your vehicle or works to enhance your own hard braking so you can stop your vehicle in time. Following Distance Indicator In addition to the forward collision alerts, the following distance indicator is designed to give you a heads-up as to how closely you may be following another vehicle before the car's safety features conduct any automatic intervention. This system detects the distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you with radar and a forward-looking camera, then uses your speed to calculate your following gap time in seconds. This is the time it would take you to brake if the vehicle ahead of you suddenly stopped. Keep an eye on this indicator to gauge whether you are following the vehicle ahead of you too closely or perhaps dangerously. Front Pedestrian Braking In addition to inadvertently following cars too closely, you might be surprised by a pedestrian suddenly stepping out onto the road. The system works best when you're traveling at speeds below 50 mph in daylight. It will detect pedestrians in front of you and even perform hard emergency braking automatically to help you avoid a collision and tragic accident. Keep in mind that although the system does function at night, it is less effective in dark or low visibility conditions. Lane-Keep Assist and Lane Departure Warning When driving in rush hour traffic or on long road trips, it's easy to let your mind wander and then let your car wander. Unexpectedly drifting out of your lane may cause an accident, so the lane-keep assist and departure warning system are here to help you prevent that. If the system detects your vehicle drifting, it will gently correct the steering wheel to keep you in your lane. Don't worry; these corrections are not sudden, jerky motions but rather slow corrections meant not to startle the driver or unintentionally overcorrect a lane drift. If this correction doesn't get you back on track and you continue to drift, the system may send you additional departure warning signals. But what if you want to actively change lanes? Well, this incredibly sophisticated system can generally detect when you are making an intentional lane change, either because you have your turn signal on or you are intentionally steering the car, something that reads differently than unintentional drifting to the lane keep assist system. Rear Vision Camera and Park Assist Many new Chevrolets come equipped with a rear vision camera as well as a parking assist. The camera is set to turn on automatically when you put your car in reverse and helps you see what is directly behind you. This way, you can avoid unintended collisions with objects or the sidewalk when parking or backing up. Additionally, the rear park assist helps you reverse safely by emitting a noise whenever you come too close to an object. The closer you get to an object, these distance alerts emit at a higher frequency, so you have an idea of how far behind you the obstruction may be. Intellibeam Headlights Ideally, the headlights of a vehicle should illuminate the surrounding space without blinding oncoming drivers. Intellibeam headlights seek to do just that. Using a small sensor placed in the windshield of some Chevrolet models, these headlights detect the strength of oncoming headlights or taillights of vehicles ahead of you. Using this information, it adjusts your headlights and automatically turns off your high-beam illumination when other cars are nearby. This system gives you the best view of the road and your surroundings in low-light situations without compromising the safety of other drivers and vehicles around you. What Chevy Models Include the Safety Suite? Many of the newer Chevrolet models come with most or all of the safety features listed above as standard or optional features. These models include the Chevrolet Equinox, the Trailblazer, the Blazer, and the Traverse, just to name a few. Customers who want an electric vehicle option will be happy to know that the Chevrolet Bolt EV also comes with this safety suite. If you want to browse some of the safest Chevrolet models available in South Carolina and the Savannah metro area, drop by Vaden Automotive to see and test drive the cars so you can get a sense of the updated Chevrolet safety suite up close. 2023 Cadillac XT4 vs 2023 Cadillac XT5

Friday, 18 November, 2022 Are you looking for an upgrade from the mundane to the luxurious? Do you want a vehicle that's both practical and stylish? It's time to enjoy the finer things in life with a Cadillac. Cadillac crossovers and SUVs are popular for their bold good looks, luxurious amenities, and iconic performance. While you really can't go wrong with any Cadillac SUV, it's important to choose one that best fits your needs. In this face-off, we'll be pitting two of Cadillac's most popular SUVs — the 2023 Cadillac XT4 and the 2023 Cadillac XT5 — against each other in a series of categories to see which one comes out on top. We'll cover everything from pricing and performance to technology and safety. By the end, you'll know exactly which of these two Cadillac SUVs is the right one for you. Pricing Price is always a major consideration when purchasing a vehicle. The good news is that the Cadillac XT4 and XT5 are both reasonably priced for luxury vehicles. The XT4 is Cadillac's entry-level SUV, and it's priced accordingly. Starting at just $36,295 MSRP, the XT4's base price compares well with its compact and subcompact luxury SUV rivals. It offers a comfortable ride and decent features and amenities for its price point. The XT5, on the other hand, hits the luxury sweet spot and is a bit more expensive than the XT4. It starts at $44,195 MSRP, but its features and amenities more than justify the slightly higher price tag. Your extra money also gets you a larger and more powerful engine and a longer list of standard features. If you're looking for the best bang for your buck in the Cadillac SUV lineup, the XT5 is probably your best bet. Drivetrain, Performance, and Transmission The 2023 Cadillac XT4 features a standard 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. It's peppy and gets the job done, but it's not going to set any speed records. The nine-speed automatic transmission is smooth and shifts quickly, and the XT4 has standard front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive available as an option. If you plan on doing any off-roading or live in an area with harsh winters, we recommend opting for the all-wheel drive. The 2023 Cadillac XT5 has the same 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine as standard, but you can upgrade to a more powerful 3.6L V-6 engine. This makes 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque, which is a significant increase over the base engine. This model features the same nine-speed automatic transmission, standard front-wheel drive, and optional all-wheel drive as the XT4. The XT5 is the way to go if you're looking for a more powerful engine. But, if you're happy with the base engine and don't need the extra power, you'll also be perfectly happy with the XT4. Safety and Driver-Assistance Features Safety is always a top priority when purchasing a new vehicle. The Cadillac XT4 and XT5 both include a long list of standard safety features, with a few notable differences between the two. Standard features on the XT4 include, automatic emergency braking, front and rear parking sensors, front pedestrian braking, teen driver technology, passenger sensing system, rear park assist, and an HD rear-view camera. It also offers an optional Driver Awareness Package with blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. The XT5, on the other hand, has all the features mentioned above, plus a few extras. As well as the Driver Awareness Package, it also comes standard with surround vision, which gives you a 360-degree view of your surroundings, and lane change alert with side blind zone alert. In addition to airbags positioned in every possible impact zone, the XT4 and XT5 incorporate OnStar, an in-vehicle emergency assistance service offering features such as automatic crash notification, stolen vehicle assistance, and roadside assistance. Cadillac Connected Services and automatic emergency braking are also standard on both vehicles. Overall, both vehicles boast a long list of standard safety features. However, if you're looking for a few extras, the XT5 is probably the better option. Infotainment and Tech Features Nowadays, it's hard to find a new car that doesn't come packed with the latest and greatest in technology and amenities. We've come to expect a certain level of sophistication and convenience from our vehicles, and the 2023 Cadillac XT models don't disappoint. Both SUVs include all the 21st-century creature comforts one could hope for. But which one has the edge when it comes to these features? Let's take a closer look. The XT4 and XT5 come standard with an impressive infotainment system that includes a high-resolution diagonal multicolor touch screen with Natural Voice Recognition and support for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. You'll also enjoy the convenience of Cadillac's Remote Start system, NFC Mobile Device Pairing, and the Universal Home Remote. 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot capability and multiple USB ports are standard, so you'll never have to worry about being disconnected on the go. Although both models come packed with impressive tech features, the XT5 has a few extras that help it take the lead in this category. For example, it features an upgraded Bose premium surround audio system with eight speakers, offering a truly immersive sound experience that's sure to please even the most discerning audiophile. Comfort-wise, the XT5 also has the edge with its standard automatic heated steering wheel and power tilt and telescoping steering column. Door locks and latch shields are also standard on the XT5, giving you an extra level of security and peace of mind. So, which model comes out on top regarding infotainment and tech features? It's a close tie, but we have to give the edge to the XT5. Both the 2023 Cadillac XT models are impressive SUVs and would make a great addition to any garage. So, whichever model you choose, you're sure to enjoy all the luxury, comfort, and convenience you'd expect from Cadillac. A dog up for adoption in an animal shelter in Savannah, GA

Where to Adopt a Pet in Savannah, GA

Friday, 11 November, 2022 Whether you're a cat person or a dog person, if you're looking for a furry friend to bring home, try adoption. You can give a beautiful, caring home to an animal in desperate need of a loving family. The following shelters and organizations in the Savannah, Georgia, area help rescue and care for pets that have been abandoned or given up, preparing them to go home with a brand new family who will love them forever. Search the organizations below for your new animal companion. Humane Society of Greater Savannah Founded 55 years ago, the Humane Society of Greater Savannah prides itself on its reputation as one of the biggest no-kill shelters in the Savannah area. Located on Sallie Mood Drive, the shelter has a save rate of over 99%, and they helped rehome 2,655 pets in 2021 alone. The organization is funded by a mix of private donations from individuals, businesses, and foundations and the profits from its unique business idea, the "Pick of the Litter" thrift shop. Come by to see the adorable cats and dogs housed in the shelter and decide which pet will be your new best friend. The society offers viewing hours for pets between Tuesday and Saturday, from 1 to 6 p.m. Adoptions here cost between $50 and $300 for dogs but include a slew of vaccines and testing, as well as spay or neuter surgery, which the shelter provides to customers. Chatham County Animal Services Visit the website of Chatham County Animal Services to browse through a list of available dogs and cats for adoption. You can pick your favorite, fill out your adoption application online, and then make an appointment with the shelter to see your prospective pet in person. Otherwise, drop by the store during open hours to view the available pets. For dogs, you can expect to pay $70 in adoption fees, while the fee for cats is just $10. Chatham County Animal Services also charges a $5 tag/license fee for county residents. However, the cost includes spaying or neutering your future pet, which has usually already been performed prior to adoption. The shelter is located at 7211 Sallie Mood Drive, so stop by to see the pets yourself and decide if you want to be a new dog or cat owner. Save-A-Life, Inc. This admirable all-volunteer organization has been saving pet lives and providing loving homes to dogs and cats since 1967. Save-A-Life, Inc. holds pet viewings for people interested in adoption every Saturday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at PetSmart on 11132 Abercorn St. in Savannah. Although potential adopters can swing by to view the pets, Save-A-Life, Inc. has a lot of potential animals for adoption, and not all of them will be shown every Saturday. The staff encourages you to visit the website, view all available adoptable pets, and then submit an adoption application online. As a follow-up, contact the foster family that's currently listed as taking care of the pet you want to adopt. This way, you can get pre-approved for adoption, and then the shelter guarantees your prospective pet will be brought to PetSmart so you can meet them before taking them home. Coastal Pet Rescue Of all the organizations on this list, Coastal Pet Rescue particularly focuses on saving abused, neglected, and abandoned pets in the greater Savannah area and getting them off the streets or out of abusive home environments. The nonprofit provides medical care and sterilization for the pets it rescues, as well as social rehabilitation so any behavioral problems or fear pets experience as a result of an abusive background can be treated. The organization is relatively young, as it was established in February 2003. However, its volunteers are absolutely dedicated to providing the best possible training and eventual homes for the pets they rescue. Potential applicants are thoroughly screened, and adoption is conducted by appointment only, as Coastal Pet Rescue is an all-volunteer organization. Go to the shelter's website to complete an adoption application. Once approved, you can schedule an appointment to meet your pet and take it home. The shelter offers a complimentary 30-day PetFirst insurance policy adopters must call to activate. Kittens cost $60 to adopt, cats $50, puppies $250, adults dogs $200, and senior dogs (7 years or older) $100. The adoption fees you give to Coastal Pet Rescue include shots, microchipping, a heartworm test for dogs, a feline immunodeficiency virus test for cats, spaying or neutering, and deworming. The fees are quite reasonable for all the procedures and medical care they cover, as all these procedures done at a private veterinary clinic would add up to a lot more money. One Love Animal Rescue The nonprofit organization One Love Animal Rescue partners with shelters and rescue groups to make sure abandoned or mistreated animals, as well as animals that were willingly surrendered to be rehomed, can find a loving new home and family to take them in. To adopt a pet from One Love Animal Rescue, complete and submit an adoption application. Upon approval, you can schedule a meeting to see your pet and then prepare for a home inspection — the last step before you can bring your furry new companion home. The organization requires that each member of the adopter's household meet the pet, and the pet must live indoors, as many of them have already had hard lives and need all the love and comfort they can get. Dog adoptions cost $200, kittens $85, and cats $55. Fees cover microchipping, vaccination, testing, and spaying or neutering. One Love Animal Rescue is a great shelter for first-time pet owners to adopt from. Along with dog adoptions, the shelter provides six group puppy classes or two private classes to help new owners train and bond with their new dogs. Adopt, don't shop, and give an animal that needs a loving family home. If you have other suggestions we might have missed for pet adoption centers in the Savannah area, please contact us at Vaden Automotive and let us know. 2023 Nissan Altima Trim Level Comparison

Monday, 07 November, 2022 There was a time not too long ago when the sedan was synonymous with boring and uninspired. However, things have changed, and the latest sedans are anything but dull. The all-new 2023 Nissan Altima is the perfect example. The Altima, a sports sedan with sharp looks, a spacious cabin, and refinement, has been a mainstay in the Nissan lineup for over a decade for good reason. Nissan has stepped up their game with the latest Altima, which was introduced for the 2023 model year. Not only does the 2023 Altima look more stylish than ever, but it's also packed with useful driver safety aids and solid fuel economy. It’s now available in five trim levels: S, SV, SL, SR, and SR 2.0. There's a trim level for just about everyone, but with so many different options to choose from, it can be hard to know which one is right for you. That's why we've put together this trim-level comparison. We'll look at what each level offers in terms of pricing, technology, comfort, performance, and more. Pricing With five different trim levels to choose from, the Nissan Altima is one of the most versatile vehicles on the market. Whether you're looking for a budget-friendly option or a top-of-the-line model, there's a trim level that's perfect for you. Starting at just $25,290 MSRP, the S trim is the most affordable option. Even though it’s the base trim, you still get a long list of standard features, including LED headlights, automatic emergency braking, and a suite of driver assistance technologies. The SV trim level might be a better fit for you if you're looking for a few more bells and whistles. Starting at $26,090 MSRP, the SV trim adds features, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, rear parking sensors, rear automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. For even more luxury and comfort, the SL trim level starts at $31,990 MSRP and adds features such as adjustable lumbar support for the driver's seat, heated front seats, a power moonroof, fog lights, and a traffic sign recognition system. The SR and SR 2.0 trims are the lineup’s sporty offerings and are perfect for anyone who wants a little more excitement behind the wheel. Starting at $27,490 MSRP, the SR trim comes standard with sport-tuned suspension, paddle shifters, and 19-inch wheels. The SR 2.0 trim is also available with the optional VC-Turbo engine and adds ProPILOT Assist. It'll set you back $34,990 MSRP, but it's worth the extra money. Technology The S base model comes standard with a 5-inch touch-screen infotainment system and LED headlights with automatic high beams. You also get a six-speaker sound system, Bluetooth connectivity, and one USB-A port. If you want a little more out of your infotainment system, you might want to consider upgrading to the SV trim level, which comes with an 8-inch touch-screen infotainment system. This system includes all the base model's features, plus satellite radio, navigation, Wi-Fi, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can also upgrade to the SL trim level with a nine-speaker Bose premium audio system and a 12-inch touch-screen display. The SR and SR 2.0 models also boast a 12-inch touch-screen display that's perfect for those who want the ultimate in infotainment and technology. As you can see, there’s a trim for everyone in the 2023 Nissan Altima lineup. No matter which level you choose, you're sure to be entertained and connected while on the go. Comfort and Convenience In addition to an impressive infotainment system, the 2023 Nissan Altima also offers a long list of comfort and convenience features. The S trim level comes standard with automatic climate control, push-button start, and remote engine start. You also get a backup camera and six-way power adjustable driver's seat. Suppose you want a few more creature comforts. In that case, you might consider upgrading to the SV trim level, which adds an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, wireless charging, and a power moonroof. The SL trim level takes things even further with standard features, such as a heated steering wheel, four-way power-adjustable passenger seat, leather seats, and rear air vents. For the ultimate in comfort and convenience, opt for the SR or SR 2.0 trim levels, which come standard with wireless charging, 19-inch alloy wheels, a four-way power-adjustable front passenger seat, heated front seats, and leather seating surfaces. Overall, the 2023 Nissan Altima has a lot to offer in terms of comfort and convenience, regardless of which trim level you choose. Performance and Fuel Economy All four available trim levels come standard with a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine that produces 188 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque on the front-wheel drive models. If you opt for all-wheel drive, that number drops slightly to 182 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. Paired exclusively to front-wheel drive, the upgraded 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine is only available on the SR 2.0 trim level and produces 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque on 93 octane fuel. All four trim levels come standard with a continuously variable automatic transmission, which helps to optimize fuel economy. Speaking of fuel economy, the Nissan Altima gets an EPA-estimated 28 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway with front-wheel drive 2.5-liter models. If you opt for all-wheel drive, those numbers drop slightly to 26 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. The more powerful turbocharged engine returns 25 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. Whether you're looking for a comfortable daily driver or a sporty weekend warrior, the 2023 Nissan Altima has a trim level that's right for you. The Nissan Altima has a lot to offer in terms of comfort, convenience, performance, and fuel economy.
